Medfield Fire-Rescue

@medfieldfd

New Ambulance 1 (A1) is now in service. Our existing A1 (2017 model) has been relabeled as A2 and will be used as a backup. The 2009 ambulance previously serving as A2 has been retired. Thank you to the residents of @TownofMedfield for your support.

Snow closures tomorrow

Text from Town Administrator, Kristine Trierweiler this afternoon (and not having kids in the schools, I asked if the schools were going to be closed tomorrow as well!) –

Just met with Chiefs, Moe and Jeff. We are going to close all the town offices tomorrow. Moe is concerned about the timing and the rate of snowfall.

School Athletics and library will be open Saturday.

Office hours tomorrow 9-10

Select Board Office Hours Tomorrow

My Select Board Office Hours last Friday were not held (the first Friday of the month) because The Center was not open on account of the snowstorm, so I am holding my February office hours tomorrow at The Center from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.

NB – The snow did not deter Jean Mineo from connecting with me last Friday, just not at The Center.

I can be reached via 508-359-9190

Moderator seeks members for charter review committee

From the Moderator –

The Board of Selectmen voted to request Scott McDermott, Town Moderator, appoint seven members to a charter review committee to draft charter amendments or bylaws which will govern the appointment of Medfield’s next school building committee. The committee will offer their amendments or bylaws as an Article for consideration at our Annual Town Meeting on May 2.  The appointment of the committee was authorized by the passage of an article sponsored by citizen petition at the 2021 Annual Town Meeting. The Moderator expects that the thrust of committee’s work will be from late February to early April.  Any Medfield registered voter interested in serving on the committee should send an email to Scott at: medfieldtownmoderator@medfield.net no later than February 15.

Friends of the MHS Theatre Society thankful for MFi Legacy Fund grant

From the Friends of the Medfield High School Theatre Society –

The replacement of the MHS auditorium cyclorama allows students to
engineer complex lighting scenarios; offers those performing a more
complex atmosphere in which to tell their stories; and enhances the
visual quality of shows for Community members who attend
performances. We are honored and grateful to be one of the
recipients of the MFi's Legacy Fund grant.
The Medfield Foundation Legacy Fund is a Professionally-managed endowment created to support community-driven projects. Volunteer-run and designed to complement the initiatives of Medfield organizations, the Medfield Foundation Legacy Fund raises funds from the community and makes grants to established nonprofit organizations through a competitive process.
