Sustainable Medfield and Charles River Repair Coalition are coordinating a Repair Café at Mill Forge Makerspace on Sunday, October 18, 2-5 pm. Gather an item that you would like repaired, and join in. Typical repairs include stitching, woolens, jewelry, lamps, knick-knacks, small appliances, small furniture, bicycles…. Fixers donate time, tools, and expertise to repair items brought in. If they cannot repair an item, they generally can advise about repair or how to get a missing piece. No pre-registration necessary.
The location at 61 Endicott St, Bldg 4, Norwood, is itself interesting, as it is in a 19th-century mill complex which now houses various antique, clothing, leather work, craft, and artist outlets.

The Medfield Garden Club will present Lisey Good, former Editor in Chief of the Garden Club of America Magazine on October 14th, 10AM, at the United Church of Christ, 496 Main St., Medfield. Among many accomplishments, Lisey founded WildCohasset.org to help native plants and the wildlife that depend on them for survival. Lisey will give a presentation on how to attract, and best support local songbirds while bringing your gardens even more alive. Strategic plant choices in even the tiniest of gardens can greatly help hummingbirds, finches, orioles and more! Doors for non-members will open at 9:50AM. Admission at the door for non-members will be a $5 donation. Members are free.

I hold regular monthly office hours at The Center on the first Friday of every month from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
Residents are welcome to stop by to talk in person about any town matters.
Suggested possible questions you might want to ask this month:
Where should we site a new data center?
Can we ever get Millis and Medway returned to us?
Can we give the white pylons names?
Will the Select Board ever do what I want?
