2015 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 22,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 8 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Pete’s comment = First, I liked the Syndey Opera House comparison when WP used it the first time – not so much this year.  Second, the thing the jumped out at me was seeing a March post highlighted about a new juice shop and knowing that juice shop only just opened – I will check to see if that delay was due to town permitting, as if so, we need to figure out how to make the permitting move faster.

2/3 selectmen cannot hear

holiday parade

Two-thirds of the selectmen marched in the annual Holiday Parade today, but because they made the unfortunate decision to march directly in front of five MFD fire engines with blaring sirens, the selectmen have reportedly have not heard anything since.

Thanks Henry and Jean!

Holiday Stroll

Medfield’s newest tradition was a huge success. The downtown was abuzz with crowds of people. This was the ice sculptor at the bubbler in front of the Town House.

CPA meeting at Zullo is 12/10 at 7PM, not 12/7

Correct your calendars!

I got the date wrong – the informational meeting about the CPA at the Zullo is on 12/10 at 7PM, not 12/7 as I had previously posted.

Eagle Scouts John Walsh & Ethan Murby

At the UCC this afternoon was the Eagle Scout Court of Honor for John and Ethan, back from college for the ceremony.

Norfolk Hunt

This was the first stop of the 30 or so riders who took part in the Norfolk Hunt Club Thanksgiving day hunt. This was around 9am at the sledding hill at the Medfield State Hospital. There are probably 20 of the highly trained and unique looking fox hounds as well. And then there were probably about 60 hunt followers tracking the hunt around its course by car, some antique.

Great and interesting Medfield Thanksgiving tradition.

Eagle Scouts

Andrew Marian and Sam Johnson receiving their Troop 10 Eagle Scout awards today at the UCC, with their parents and scout master David Derian.

New sergeants

Lars Anderson and John Geary were just sworn in as Medfield’s newest police sergeants.
