Over 1300 participated in the Angel Run, the annual family friendly holiday fun run, that is a Medfield Foundation initiative held on the first Sunday in December. Proceeds raised assist Medfield families in need, and all participants are guaranteed an enjoyable, festive time. These were the refreshments before the arrival of the runners.
Large crowds attended the annual Holiday Stroll sponsored by the Cultural Alliance of Medfield on Friday night. Ron Gustavson was again in charge of the ice sculpture for CAM, and reported that the ice sculpture this year was finished in record time.
Winter Lights display from Dec. 17 – 20, from 5 pm – 9 pm nightly at the former Medfield State Hospital.
Come revel in the nearly mile-long sprawl of light displays and decorations including a living nativity! Tickets are $20 per vehicle and must be purchased in advance by visiting EventBrite. No visitors will be permitted without a ticket and no tickets will be available for sale on site. The event will run regardless of weather. All proceeds go to support nonprofit organizations Medfield TV and the Cultural Alliance of Medfield.

From Diane Borrelli of the Medfield Cultural Alliance –
Volunteers Needed for the 2018 Holiday Stroll
The Cultural Alliance of Medfield is seeking volunteers for the 4th annual Holiday Stroll. Friday December 7, between 3:30 and 9:30pm, we’ll need volunteer ‘greeters’ in 2 hour shifts.
Greeting duties include smiling, welcoming visitors, tallying head counts, helping some artists set up/break down booths, and providing general event information to visitors. It’s fun, social, and easy, and you work in pairs, so sign up with a spouse or friend!
Click here for information on time slots, and the link to “Sign Up Genius”. And, visit www.medfieldculture.org and check out the “2018 Holiday Stroll” tab to learn more about this annual Medfield event!
The First Annual ‘Stroll’ takes place this Friday December 4th, from 4-9 pm, with over 30 artists booths in three locations; the Zullo Gallery, Medfield Library, and the United Church of Christ (UCC). We have over 20 volunteers helping, but still need the following 2-hour shifts filled: Library 6-8pm, Library 8-10pm, Zullo Gallery 6-8pm, Main Street Floater 6-8pm.
Still have questions? Email Kirsten D’Abate at email@example.com to learn more about volunteering to greet visitors at this very special holiday event.

I started this blog to share the interesting and useful information that I saw while doing my job as a Medfield select board member. I thought that my fellow Medfield residents would also find that information interesting and useful as well. This blog is my effort to assist in creating a system to push the information out from the Town House to residents. Let me know if you have any thoughts on how it can be done better.
