The First Annual ‘Stroll’  takes place this Friday December 4th, from 4-9 pm, with over 30 artists booths in three locations; the Zullo Gallery, Medfield Library, and the United Church of Christ (UCC). We have over 20 volunteers helping, but still need the following 2-hour shifts filled: Library 6-8pm, Library 8-10pm, Zullo Gallery 6-8pm, Main Street Floater 6-8pm.

Still have questions? Email Kirsten D’Abate at kk@dab8.net to learn more about volunteering to greet visitors at this very special holiday event.

Angel Run Sunday at 2PM – run or help!

Angel Run chairs

We are in the home stretch in preparing for the MFi Angel Run. With over 1,000 preregistered runners and a sunny day in the forecast we expect a great crowd.

We still need lots of goodies for the post race party. Many can be bought: water, hot cocoa mix, snack bags or home baked. This is Medfield’s finest weekend starting with the Christmas tree lighting, Saturday’s parade and ending with the Angel Run on Sunday. Be an angel and sign up for a small volunteer job!

Many thanks from the Medfield Foundation.

Play next weekend for Medfield by a Medfielder

Medfield Native Returns with Original Piece of Theater

Michael Norton, playwright and actor, is a graduate of Medfield High School Class of 2010. Michael is bringing his new play to Medfield this Thanksgiving. His new work is specially written with Medfield in mind and should be a big hit for lifelong Medfieldians young and old.

He says of the new work, “almost forgot the phalanx of fire: A Wine-and-Cheese Experiment in Three Parts is a solo performance that tears apart the text of a classic Russian play, a lecture-gone-wrong, a forgotten essay about Medfield, and a story of mysterious letters in an attempt to define that peculiar sensation we call “home.”

Tickets are online at www.keithcurbow.com/special-programs.html You can receive 30% with the promo code- medfieldians.

Selectman Richard DeSorgher
Medfield Town Hall
459 Main Street
Medfield, MA 02052

Dear Selectman DeSorgher,

Samuel Q. Johnson has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, which is the highest honor awarded by the Boy Scouts of America. He will receive this award at an Eagle Court of Honor on Saturday, November 7, 2014. The ceremony will take place at the United Church of Christ, 496 Main Street, Medfield, MA at 2:00 PM. Your presence at the ceremony would be a great honor.

For his Eagle Project, Sam designed and constructed a bridge to cross a creek at the Kingsbury Grist Mill in Medfield. After the construction was completed, the path leading to the bridge was cleared of weeds and bushes. Sam has been involved in Scouting for 10 years, has earned 33 Merit Badges, and has held the positions of Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader and Instructor. ·

Boy Scout Troop 10 is proud of its Scouts who attain the rank of Eagle. Since only a small percentage of all Scouts reach this rank, an appropriate commemorative citation from your office to the above named Scout would be especially appreciated. The citation may be sent to:
