Medfield Select Board member
I started this blog to share the interesting and useful information that I saw while doing my job as a Medfield select board member. I thought that my fellow Medfield residents would also find that information interesting and useful as well. This blog is my effort to assist in creating a system to push the information out from the Town House to residents. Let me know if you have any thoughts on how it can be done better.
For information on my other job as an attorney (personal injury, civil litigation, estate planning and administration, and real estate), please feel free to contact me at 617-969-1500 or Osler.Peterson@OslerPeterson.com.

Hi, Pete, My back-of-the-envelope arithmetic says 8,486 people voted in Medfield. How many registered voters are there in town, and is the population estimate of 12,904 valid? I get the sense some astronomical percentage of the town’s eligible voters turned out for this election. Neal Sanders

Neal,
I thought we had 8-9K registered voters and a population between 12-13K. I looked at my town census and see almost 9K residents listed, but about 200 of them at under voting age, so almost 9K.
It sounds like we had a really high turn out.
Pete

I got curious and just did a search of the resident list. I make it 9,306 registered voters per that current list. I also found two residents that were born the same day as me, which I personally find fascinating, as I have never met anyone born the same day.
