And on the 40th day of the snows of 2015, the DPW workers took time off to sleep, and the town ran out of salt.

Mike Sullivan called this afternoon with a town status update, and the bad news is that the town has run out of salt.  Mike says that our regular supplier just has not filled our order, and that our alternate supplier does not have available trucks to make a delivery to us.

Expect snowy roads for a while, and slow down.

If you are having ice dam issues feel free to borrow our snow rank from the snow bank in our driveway.  Reaches second story roof from the ground.

Medfield was 12th in the 200 free relay, just like the IM relay.

Same swimmer from Algonquin just swam 55.+ seconds in the butterfly, again All American consideration time. Three seconds ahead of second place finisher. She is in middle of the photo.

Just witnessed a 23.63 second 50 yard freestyle time that they say qualifies for All American consideration.

Nice pool. Lots of people. Few tickets and fewer seats.

Kristen is swimming breaststroke, which comes near the at the end. Medfield has about seven young women here today. Kristen’s time was fast enough that it also qualified her to swim at the state meet next weekend at MIT.

Finally found a track to follow behind the R building. Though slog without a track. Usually snowmobiles have been through,but not today.

Digital learning day at Medfield High School, and town officials were invited this year. Keynote speaker now, and five workshops coming up next. Each workshop offered about six choices, so tons of options.

I always wondered what happened on teacher days, and now I know – looks impressive so far.

This email to the editor of the New York Times about its article this week about Pete Carroll, notes that he was not involved with the evergreen field at MHS. Tim Nugent and Steve McCormack were the primary people who reportedly made it happen.

Subject: correction

A correction should be made to yesterday’s article about Pete Carroll and his
connections to Medfield, MA written by PETER MAY.
Pete Carroll was long gone from Medfield when the Evergrass turf field began
looking for funding.  The first dollar deposited toward the field was on 5/5/04.  I
have a list of every single contributor and neither Pete Carroll or Drew Bledsloe
had a part in the field. It was a grass roots effort by the wonderful Medfield
residents.  Please contact me if you need more information.

I have been a Medfield resident since 1989 and Treasurer of the Medfield
Foundation since its incorporation in 2001.
FYI — Medfield Foundation was the 501 (c) 3 used to facilitate the raising of
the money for the field.
