Stop and Smell the Lilacs
Stop and Smell the Lilacs: The Medfield Garden Club is pleased to present Senior
Principal Master Gardener Christine Paxhia on Wednesday, September 9 to discuss the
history of lilacs, along with information about lilac growing, propagating, caring, and
more. This visual presentation is filled with photographs of Christine’s personal
collection and local lilacs in bloom. Sit back and enjoy the photographs, and imagine the
sweet fragrance of spring. Christine is the owner of Brush Hill Garden Guru and is
presently the Massachusetts Master Gardener Association Project Manager for the
historic Fletcher Steele Garden, both of which are in Milton.
The presentation will be at the United Church of Christ Medfield, 495 Main St., at
10:00AM. Doors for non-members will open at 9:50AM. Admissions at the door for non-
members will be a $5 donation. Members are free.
