    Just a couple of quick observations –

    Your e-mail subject line should have included a “May” in front of Add, since we are much too early in the Dale Street School process to know the impact of tariffs on school costs.

    Also, our previous facility evaluation/capital plan noted that the Dale 1941 “super structure” is comprised of steel frame as support, and that its construction was “over engineered and appears in good condition.” If we reuse the existing Dale super structure, we wouldn’t need the same amount of steel required of new school construction, as is the case with Tri-County and the other schools noted in Boston Globe article.
