Water flow levels in Charles River mandates even odd watering ban

Tweet today from the Town of Medfield

@TownofMedfield

Due to  the streamflow of the Charles River gauge being under the Town’s threshold based on Medfield’s Water Management Act Permit, we are required to implement a Tier 2 Streamflow Triggered Restriction. For more information: https://town.medfield.net/1893/Water-Conservation-Restrictions…

    Pete –  Brookline and several other municipalities have banned the sale of nips of liquor because they account for so much litter and are not recyclable.  Has it ever been proposed as a town meeting article in Medfield? If so, what happened?Sent from my Samsung Galaxy , an AT&T LTE smartphone

      Not yet proposed. I see the bottles around on the ground, so I would support banning them.

    The plastic bag ban is considered by most environmentalists to be a complete failure. The sale of plastic bags have skyrocketed in communities that they have been banned. Purchased plastic bags are used only once, while plastic grocery bags were often used multiple times but are now banned. Google: “Plastic bag ban” and see for yourself. Here is one from the Conservation Law Foundation. https://www.clf.org/blog/the-truth-about-plastic-bag-bans/

    The Selectboard made this decision with good faith, but please look at the results.
