5 year goals of Inspections Department

1) Finalize implementation of new permit software, PeopleGIS with all departments. Complete
necessary training for all involved. Look into starting online permitting. See what is needed to
get other departments, Planning/Zoning, DPW, Conservation Commission, Board of Health, Fire
Department etc. working with PeoplesGIS,
Setup a computer kiosk for permitting at ground floor to streamline permitting process.

2) Review all required department permit forms and interdepartmental forms, update and digitize as
needed to continue with streamlining the permit process.

3) Complete sorting & categorizing of all archived building plans that we are required to store for
life of structure per MGL. Explore having construction plans digitized for electronic storage to
save on storage space and ease ofresearch.

4) Look into setting up and funding position for a second Administrative Assistant or part-time

The Angel Run is almost here…

The Angel Run is almost here…

What you need to know

The Angel Run is this Sunday, December 7th and final preparations are under way. As a reminder, the race starts and ends at Medfield High School. Parking will be available at MHS, Blake Middle School or Metacomet Park for any overflow needs. The race starts at 2pm but we suggest getting there earlier to avoid the crowds.

If you live in Medfield, your T-shirts and Bibs will be hand delivered to your house on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. If you don’t receive your package in your mailbox by end of day Thursday, please email us at angelrun@medfieldfoundation.org.

If you live outside of Medfield, your T-Shirts and Bibs will be available for pick-up starting at 12:30pm on Sunday at Medfield High School near the same day registration tables.

Volunteers Still Needed

We are still in need of volunteers willing to help out for the event. Do you have family that are planning to watch instead of participate? Their assistance could be very helpful. Open positions are listed on our Sign-up Genie site. And even if you are participating, we are looking for Bakers to provide some treats for the after party. Use the Sign-up Genie site to register as a Baker.

What about the Weather?

The Angel Run is a rain or shine event. If the weather is a bit unpleasant, we’ll still be doing the event. So dress appropriately and put on a smile.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please email us at angelrun@medfieldfoundation.org.

See you Sunday!

The Medfield Foundation has lots of initiatives doing terrific work around town and all donations are tax deductible. Find them on-line at http://www.medfieldfoundation.org/support.html and consider supporting the short term initiative to renovate the Straw Hat Park in downtown (between Zebra’s and Starbucks), or to another of the great causes in town.

I want to also give thanks to all of you who help make Medfield a nicer place to live, work, and play through your time, talents, and treasure!
