Chatted with Charlie Morreale who was working a detail at the curve on West Street yesterday morning, and he shared with me that only about one out of every twenty cars he saw going by had Medfield Transfer Station stickers – as he said, it is all out of towners, cutting through Medfield.

I started this blog to share the interesting and useful information that I saw while doing my job as a Medfield select board member. I thought that my fellow Medfield residents would also find that information interesting and useful as well. But West Street is not really a ‘rat run’, not compared with other streets around town (Bridge? Nebo? Curve?) West Street is a natural cut thru for anyone travelling from west of Medfield to the north/east of Medfield. In my opinion it probably helps to reduce the rush hour congestion in the center of town as it is. So why not encourage more commerce on West Street to capture more of these passers-thru $$?
